snook (pike) are, I believe a southern water fish in main. Grow to about 3-4 foot, fight ok on light gear. My father loves a feed of them. Caught over weed beds in the same place you fish for squid.

Hi Guys

Here a couple of links.

Used to fish for these on the weed beds off of Kingston SE in South Aust trawling slowly with lead line; a fishing line with thin weight in the centre enclosed by the line, and with lure. As Blaze says you can catch squid and Garfish above the same weed beds.

Good fun and good eating.

Cheers
Chimo
