Hey, Does anyone know how much a 50hp and a 60hp 2 stroke Mercury Tiller Steer is?. What is your opinion on Pull start vs Electric start and also Power T&T vs Mechanical Tilt. Thanks guys. Im after prices for any models
PS. Does anyone know if tohatsu make a 50 or 60 tiller steer? If so how much.

Timmy,

Can't offer any advice on the Merc being a Yammie man, but I can say that after being talked into electric start/trim tilt I wouldn't go back.

Makes it so much easier if your doing a bit of running around, in and out of shallow creeks etc plus trimming it right for the blast home

Bought a manual 40 yamaha 3 weeks ago and started it once. Wouldnt like it to be hard to start. heavy to lift also so going tomorrow to get it changed for a elect. with tilt trim. my advice is try one before you buy as it will cost if you change your mind. My motor hasnt been used. Hows that.

an overpriced 2 stroke ,most of the range costs more then or the same as 4 strokes, yet the boatshow was full of them ,i assume the margin on them for the dealers must be very good , seeing as they dont get any servicing dollars for 3 yrs

mate go the electric with trim and tilt and get a remote trim switch mounted to the inside of the gunnel where it is comfortable , close to where your right hand would be if this makes sense
