Hi Guys,

I'm a relatively new member to this site and am keen to try out SP's. I went to the tackle shop yesterday and bought some shads to try on some snapper (hopefully) in the Brissie river and perhaps Mud tomorrow afternoon. My question is what size leader do I need, swivel? How are they rigged, hook up or down? Should the hook be exposed?

Sorry about my total ignorance about this but everyone needs to start some where right?

Does anyone have any photos of a correct rigged setup?

cheers.

I use around 2 meters of 12lb leader for fishing around the bay, no swivel just joined straight to the braid then to the jig head. Jerk shad a re rigged hook up if you do a search there has been a few good posts with rigging instructions and pictures in them and recently.

Cheers Chris

Yeah grab one of the dvd's. Really helps when you are just starting out with SP's (like me).
