pm problem

I just tried to reply to a pm but when I tried to send it this message came up followed by my message.
"The following users not found"
I tried retyping my message twice more for the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you typed your message into the top section where the Membername/s goes. You need to type your message into the bottom section where it says Message
