Fishing in Phuket?

Wife and I are off to Phuket 8-) in late Sep early Oct. Just wondering if anybody has done a fishing charter out of Phuket that they could recommend. :)

I have done one before out of Samui and it was abysmal. The crew were very happy that I kept pulling up Happy Moments but I wanted to catch some real fish.:(

Any guidance or past experiences (good and bad) would be very helpful.8-)

find the season for gamefish i heard that their are quite a few reputable operators working out of phi phi don but the pricing is similar to oz prices

Unfortunately the dates are set, fares are paid, and leave is booked. May just have to see what happens. Was over there in Aplil this year and found the Charters out of Samui pretty ordinary. :(

Hopefully Phuket will be better. :)
