Hi guys looking at buying my first boat and trying to get the best bang for my buck does anyone know a mobile boat inspection guy and what the cost of that service is cheers

I can't help you as I am in Melbourne but to give you some idea my base charge is $160 and it goes up a bit from there depending on distance I travel. That price is for your typical trailerable boat. Larger, twin sterndrive engine rigs (say 25ft plus) are around $350.

I cover everything. From compression testing engine etc etc etc right down to checking the segments in the display of a 27 meg radio etc etc I give a written report (which you need in order to insure the boat if it is older than 20 yrs) and an estimate on cost of repairs to be carried out (if any) and a valuation.

If you don't get all that, find someone who does give that.

I have used a guy in brisbane only 5 weeks a go this name is Darren he trades under marine solutions this guy was very good save me from buying a lemon he is mobile his ph. is 0419735175
