G'day all,
finished off a wrap yesterday (one from VisualWrap) and have more packing and the epoxy to go but thought I'd post a pic anyway as the first time I've tried doing circles in a wrap and it worked out ok.

Nice work mate. I must admit I got sick of doing but wraps and went into specalising in weaves. Been doing weaves now for over 15 years. I know you there is many patterns for but wraps but I like the idea that I can creat some thing no one else has done.

Thanks Stu,
I will eventually get into weaving but I want to get good at butt wraps first before I get onto something else. I would like to be able to make things that no one else has and when Dave finishes off his VisualWeave program then I might have a go.
Cheers, Jan.

Lot of time there Jan, a lot of time.
Is the butt a combo of cork and eva??

yeah mate the grip is cork and eva. unfortunately I didn't have 2mm sheets available at the time but have found a supplier now (one that you can order numbers of the same colour, not one mass of different colours) as I had to cut the inlays by hand and so not very even.
To be honest, it didn't take as long as I thought it would, listened to the John Butler Trio CD seven times to get to this stage, lol. It wasn't anymore difficult than the blue scale wrap I did, prob. easier because I didn't have to change thread colour to blend in like with the blue scales. The only "hard" part was packing as that took more time than wrapping.
The tie off looks blue but is fact grep and looks so in the sunlight.
Cheers, Jan.
