G'day

When you hear stories about bad foils on the outboards, it's usually about the flimsy 2 piece cheapy plastic ones.

I have a permatrim fitted o a 9.9 and 12' boat, it's techncally NOT a hydrofoil, but an extention of the anti-cavitation plate.

I highly reccomend them.

HOWEVER, make sure that your rig is set up correctly such as weight, engine height, prop selection before going down this path.

Yes a permatrim is the way to go if the boat require's a foil. But like Blackened said first try engine height, prop and weight distrubution, but at the end of the day if you need one i'd recomend the permatrim for sure.Dan...........

I've got a Permatrim on my 40 Yam tiller and think it's the bees knees. A mate has a SE Sport 200 on his 30 Yam tiller and it works well too.
