I've got a yoke one. Use it all the time. Don't even know it's on most of the time.

Got mine from a place in Slacks Creek. Think it might have been called Marinesafe. ANyway if you go down the street that runs beside Spiringwood Marine (?Rowland St or something similar) it's about 400-500m down on the right hand sand.
If you can't find it let me know and I'll look it up for you

Have one of the full jackets, with removable sleeves, great jackets.
They certainly give the mind that ease, when racing around at night by yourself.

Hi Ian...They recommend that you service them every 12 months...the main reason is to check for bladder leaks...a normal service incl ...new bottle/ and orings...and they check the bladder and clean the jacket....they are approx 40 -50 dollars per service...and i know that if they are used commercially they have to be serviced every 12 months...

I can understand people not having the done due to the cost..but just imagine if you did need to use it and find that there was a hole in the bladder...50 bucks seems cheap to me...

G'Day Snelly,

Iv'e got a Yoke, it's too hot in Devonport to wear a vest, even in winter.

Cheers Andy (Pirate Pete, back me up on this one!)

They are recommended for servicing every year but can be done every two years. Annual servicing is mandatory for commercial/professional uses. You can do a self- service every year/couple of times a year. A service without the cleaning is supposed to cost only $16.50 but I have not checked this out. If I remember correctly aound Brisbame a full service costs $32-37.

For yokes I think I paid about $170 -180 about 18 months ago. Seemingly they are now readily available for $150.

Kind regards Trevor
