hi, the boat does move along very nicely with the 40hp, gets on the plane with ease and clocked it at 52klm/hr top speed WOT via GPS.
The hull is approved to have a 40hp on it, so you would have no problem with insurance.

Ashh,

have you done much saltwater fishing in this boat? and if so do you take the minn kota off, or do you still use it in the salt as well?

Cheers Thomas.

Great looking rig Ash!
That is very similar to what I have been looking at.
except with a smaller casting deck and lower floor.

Have you ever taken it into the bay?
If so how does it handle a bit of chop?

I havent been in it in the bay, but have been in it through-out most of the GC waterways inc broadwater and seaway and it handles quite well with small chop.

I would be comfortable fishing out off the seaway on a good day in this rig. ;)

GDay,

Just wondering if the boat is still available? If so, do you know is it possible to have swivel seats fitted to the casting decks? Also, how well does the electric pull the vessel along, and how many hours do you get out of the battery?

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Yes, the boats still up for grabs.
Yes you could fit swivel seats to the casting decks. There is allready a mount at the front that you can drop a seat post straight into.
More than enough power from the electric bowmount to pull this boat along. Great trolling speeds and holds the boat well in strong currents.
I would be guessing at best about the amount of hours we'd get out of the batteries, but they have never gone flat whenever we've been breaming.
Bare in mind there are 3 100amp hr deep cycle batteries, so there is plenty juice there.
Send me an e-mail if youd like to discuss it anyfurther and Ill forward you my phone number.
