Here's some pics of Daves new 680 Maxi. It's a half cab with fixed glass fwd windows and side sliders. Seating and a few other things were supplied by Dave and fitted up to his spec's.
Boat travelled well with the 225 Suzi and cruised at 21kts @3,600rpm's. Top speed (light) was a bit over 40 kts.
The Furuno transducer was fitted in a wet box and seemed to work quite well at speed ........ although it was dead arse calm:D
The colour is a little different as it changes quite a bit in different light.
Dave can now go and get into them!!

Cheers Col

That is a beautiful piece of fishing weaponry Dave.

Love the colour and there is something about Fisher Alloy boats that is special.

Awesomelooking as always

May be a bit of a stupid question, but what is that thing that looks like an angled tube fixed to the deck just aft of the bow anchor? I first thought it was an open hatch cover, but from different angles it appear to be a tube of some sorts?

Hey Col,

I like those wet boxes they seem to work quite well. I had a dry one once but they don't work.

Great Boat nice to see another 6.8 on the water.
Congratulations Dave, I bet the wait was well worth it!

Ashh,

those tubes are afterburners. haha. although that would be cool they are actually ballast tubes, they fill up with water when the boat is at rest to help stability and empty as the boat accelerates.

Love the colour - went around and looked at it on Saturday - it is a very nice boat in the flesh! I think Dave is living in it inside his shed!
Those big red fish out from 1770 should be really worried come August...
Funny how a 6.8 meter boat hangs out the front and rear of a 7.5 meter shed ???
LOL!!!
That 225 on the back end looks the business as well....
