Caloudra How Far ?

How far in KM can you head offshore Caloundra in a westerly wind before it starts to take affect on the water. The plan was to sneak out from Bribie and hug the beach upto caloundra to the close reefs.

In a westerly you are ok for a km or too depending on how hard it is blowing. Went out the other sat in screaming swer to sunshine reef and it was great, out on the horizon wasnt flash but. Ive noticed a heap of boats fishing the coffe rock area's in close around caloundra for quality snapper and sweetlip. Currimundi is a good option also.;D
