18ft plate boat

Hey guys,, I have a 18ft plate boat with a 115hp 2 stroke, I think 120l fuel tank. I have had it out and around Morten, to hutchies ect.... I am really keen to get out to the barwons and have a go out there,, so would my boat be capable to fish that far out or might it be a bit small... obviously the weather would be a factor, just chasing opinions

Can be done mate, but you really dont want to get the forcast wrong... its a horrible trip in bad weather. I've been back in 33knt winds on a 6m glass boat and that was a nightmare run..

On another occasion it took us 3 hours in a 5.5 plate sportsfish, never been so glad to see mooloola harbour.

our old boat was 18 and a half foot with a 115 suzi 4 stroke went to the barwons all the time bit slow and hard on the back but it done the job. mate has a fisher 480 with a 90 horse suzi he goes to the barwons all the time.
