Hi all,

I've just bought a 5.8m ally boat and was wondering where I find out what the maximum allowable number of people I can carry?
I have checked all over the boat and that info is not stamped anywhere.
Can someone help me out?

cheers,

Woody. :)

There's gotta be a compliance plate somewhere?:-/

If not, ring the manufacturer.

Mate, ring the WA marine services board or website, not the Queensland guys as DR suggested although they probably go by the same guidelines.

Cheers.

my boats hull is of '75 vintage and there is no compliance/build plate as such, I just went to the water police, told em the length of the boat and they gave me the yellow sticker with correct capacity number.
Apparantly its a $150 fine if caught without one.
