damaged spin reel

Hi guys, ive broken off the top mounting foot on my penn spinning reel. Is this the end for the reel and a good excuse to buy another or have people out there had any luck repairing them? Its graphite so I dont hold much hope. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bronzie.
Is the whole foot off, or just part of it?
Sometimes you can file the broken part to make it fit the seat.
I have two reels like this, they work fine.
If the whole foot is off, at least you'll have some spare parts!

Which model Penn is it? If it's a Spinfisher or Slammer you might be able to get another frame.

no its only a captiva CV8000 so I dont think much can be done for it. Only $99 new so I might buy another and use the damaged one for parts. Lucky it wasnt my saltiga!
