Where do I find red claw?

I live in NSW and am going up to Groper Creek at the end of the month.I was hoping to get a feed of red claw as I wonder back home.I have heard the Fairbairn dam is excellent but rather crowded.Have been also told that the redclaw have disappeared from Peter Faust & Awoonga dam.Can anyone help with other spots.

Brucie Boy Groper Creek is a creek coming off the Burdekin and running to sea.You turn off at Home Hill just south of Ayr

You could try the upper reaches of the Burdekin and also the Burdekin dam itself. I got a few up past the dam.
