Hey all, just got the new rego label for the boat and peeled the old blue one off and it basically fell off leaving behind all the sticky glue, >:( ( think others had troubles with these blue rego stickers in another post??)
anyways...I need to know which chemical is safest to remove the sticky goo off my PERSPEX windscreen with the least amount of scrubbing/scratching involved...thanks...pretty sure metho would be the go but just wanna check;)

Good old WD40 is good at getting of that glue scum

eucalyptus (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=Pes&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=eucalyptus&spell=1) ...you can buy it in a spray can...works wonders at getting the gum off.....if you have an old stubborn sticker...use a heat gun just to loosen it then the eucalyptus (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=Pes&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=eucalyptus&spell=1) spray to remove any left over gum...cheers Mick

yeah wd40 is good for grease but just smears sticky glue and leaves a residue on the surface....metho (evaporates) and did the trick as I thought it might, thanks anyways ;)

Have to agree with Mick. The Double D eucalyptus oil works a treat.
