G'day all,
well had this week off as I've been waiting for my new little polycraft tuff tender to turn up (its coming next week now bugger it) so thought I'd get a couple of rods done. they turned out ok but my biggest problem once again is that I need to be more patient with them and take more time. anyway ones for a customer and the chevron variation is mine :)

Nice job Jan.

Has the lighting played tricks with the colours in the bottom one?

The highlight thread looks like a metallic, but I've only ever seen metallic blue in dark/royal blue.

Owen yes the light plays tricks with this one as its a bugger to try to get a good pic of the whole pattern but the highlight thread is Gudebrod 9245. You can also get blues from them in metallics in ice blue 9037, electric blue 9050, aquamarine 9252, and aqua 9270. You then have madeira metallics as well as other sources as well.
I got a call at work at 6.30am yesterday morning from the customer to see if the rod was finished and at the shop. He was flat on his back in hospital after the jockey wheel on the new trailer broke and crushed his foot. He sent his wife down to pick up the rod so he something to play with in hospital, lol. He rang me and said he loved it so I was chuffed with that.
cheers, Jan.

Nice one Jan :)
I like the second one. Not too overpowering :)
I've only ever done one of those suckers so I can nearly fully appreciate the time you've put into these masterpieces.
Keep the pictures coming :)
Cheers Scott :)
