Hi all,
Can anyone recommend where I could buy a heavy duty ratchet strap to secure our boat to the trailer?
We need a 4m length but I'm not quite sure how wide it needs to be or what kg rating it should be.
We have a 4.2m Quintrex Fishabout.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Classychic

Alot of cheap ones around that rust up very quickly. I have 75mm wide straps on my 5.1 allycraft c/console

G'day
Mikes right about alot of cheap ones around.
I picked up a twin pack from bunnings a while ago, the webbing is furo. They're verry good and good quality, about $26 by memory.
Supercheap have them also.

Remember to wrap em up on something really soft and cushy when you got em tight around your boat. Or they will chew into your hull big time

I got mine from super cheap its been on my boat for roughly 8 months with no rust present. I hade to wrap the ratchit part in cloth as it rubbed on my hull first trip out. Once i had the idea on how much strap i needed i cut the rest off and burnt the edges to stop the frays.
Mine cost roughly $45

As a sideline be careful not to tighten the strap too tight as they can pull the sides of the boat in quite easily.
