OUTSIDE PILOTAGE AREAS

LOCALITY: QUEENSLAND COAST - FRASER ISLAND COASTAL AREAS
ACTIVITY: DEGRADED VHF TRANSMISSION CAPABALITIES
Mariners are advised that VHF channel 16 transmission capabilities are temporarily unavailable
from the Fraser Island VHF transmitter.
Reception capability on VHF channel 16, and transmission and reception on VHF channel 67
remain operative.
Mariners should exercise caution in the area and utilise all available channels if they wish to
establish communications with the coastal radio VHF distress network - VMR 417 - Coast Guard
Tin Can Bay or "Brisbane Harbour".
