I would personaly look at Galeforce Boats as they also have a 6m open boat too.

I've got the Outsider. Very happy with it. Great layout for serious fishing but comfortable too. I like the bimini/clears setup. I can store mine in a shed

Alex

What are you upgrading from? The 625 is still only a 6metre boat in reality. The underwater section is identical to the original 6m explorers. I do always admire the layout and finish on the outsiders though. Depending on what you are coming from you may not get much improvement in ride quality.

geess steven78, he sounds like he has narrowed it down to two models, then you tell him he should get a Galeforce (which I guess is what you have) wether they be good or bad doesn't matter, he wants opinions on HIS choices.

IMO the Mustang has a better hull, provided they have not fiddled with them over the years to be less power hungry.

after selling cruisecrafts for 2 years, i must say they would power over mustang when it comes to sports fishing, i have been through newcastle heads in 3m swell with a couple of cowboy fishos wanting to put a 625 through its paces, and with a 150hp 4stroke yamaha the outfit is epic, sliding targa rocket launcher and clears. my opinion is that mustang make pleasure boats, Go with a company that prides emselves on thier sports fishers, great auzzie blokes at cruisi also.
I dont sell boats anymore am in marketing with surfing company so im not on commision!!! better resale on cruisecraft than mustang thats for sure, most people think mustang is american cos of the car!!!
thats my 2 cents

I would go with the mustage 2250 just a bit more than I want to spend but I do like the 20fter I think it is 6.2mtrs and 6.5 overall.

You know, i'm convinced that all boats are rough to ride in, because the bigger they are, the faster you go. I was out in a 12m cat last weekend and it was even rough at 23kts.
In my Outsider, I can cruise at 18-22kts in a reasonable offshore sea. I found that trim tabs made a difference. If you get the hull to land level it is quite a good ride. Just bought a rebel prop for the E-tec175 (haven't tried it yet). Supposed to better for mid-rangecruising than my current Viper. The Viper wanted to run at 20-22kts.
I never run on Bay waters, but I assume 15kt slop would be fine. The Cruisecraft was designed for Moreton Bay and offshore from there.
I like the look of the Mustang but it doesn't look fishy enough for me

....yep...in theory the faster you go in a head sea the more gaps you span....but ultimately my Vag prefers 40kph in very sloppy bay conditions than 50kph - altough a lot depends on sea direction...Im talking more head and beam seas than anything else.
