If you are comparing motor prices,at least use motors of the same HP rating.
The 140 suzi is a 2 litre motor where the 150 suzi is 2.9.
No idea of the difference in cost but I am led to believe that there is a fair bit between them for a mere 10HP increase in rated HP.
I dont think it the 150 opti and 140 suzi are in the same league.Hence the price difference.

yeah yeah . just found it funny that a 2 stroke (150 merc) was more than a 140 hp four stroke. that aside not wanting to compare, or for that fact get into a barney at all, just get a feel for what others paid for the 140 suzuki. forget i even mentioned the black anchor.

Fish guts,
No barney intended.Just answering your question.
BTW, I have not heard a bad word about the suzi 140.

Have one great motor get the solarus stainless prop for it
I wouldn't go with the standard gauge set they are crap for reporting

You can get an NMEA 2000 interface for the units check out the post in electronics
the interface comes from the US with the gauge set and the cables I am going to order this for mine and replace the gauges. if you cant find it pm me and i will send you the link

Mate pm Indy he has a 4 stroke suzzi. I went out in his rig and thought the motor ran sweet and very responsive. He told me that it wasn't bad on fuel to. If i repower i will be looking at them. Good to know that there is a dealer at Mango hill to.

G`day mate you cant go past the suzi 140 4 stroke ive got one and am very happy the best thing i ever done was get rid of the piece of crap merc that was on the back the price is good compared to any thing else on the market and for further piece of mind a mate of mine works for the dpi and they have several patrol boats with these motors and they put a hell of a lot of hours on them and they gave them a good rap so i bought one you cant loose hope this helps
