haines signature 702

Can anyone give me any feed back on a haines signature 702l with a 210hp mer cruiser efi iam looking at buying one 2nd hand i dont know much about these mer cruisers but i live along way from any on the market to look at cheers.

www.seamedia.com.au (http://www.seamedia.com.au) have tests on the 702SB and 702C with the Mercruiser and a 702L with an outboard. Should give you some idea.

Thanks for that i diid pay the $ 5.00 but it had some error down loading if anyone else has had any experences with ether the boat or motor any info would be great thanks !

the stern drive was the better combo than the outboard,the stern has too much lift with the outboard and the boat tended to bury the bow into on coming waves which as you could imagine gets everyone on board really wet.so the stern drive is the lesser of the two evils ,so to speak.:P

Take into account the last time risers and manifolds were done,this is an expensive little process,id say about 2700 if you had to pay some body.

OPTI it take it you mean the inboard will give you better balance that makes sence but are they "EFI 210hp mer cruiser thirsty or are they on par as the four strokes. Good point "bastard" will look into that about the risers and manifolds how often and what are the signs when they need to be changed out ?
