Centre Console Vs. Side Console

Hey, i am looking to up grade boats. (around the 5m aluminium boat)
But can;t make a decision on a centre console or a side console,

Over the weekend I saw a few boats on the water, side and centre consoles and it seemed the side console boats weren;t level due to a single person on the console side of the boat, (looked good with 2 people in the boat)

Does any one have and information pro's/con's on this topic? and benifits of centre or side consoles/

I went out witha guy once in a side console......might just have been his boat, but i was sitting oppisite him and copped every bit of spray that the bow kicked out...went from sandgate to the sandhills and by the time we got there i was wet.......i had a go at sitting up the front but he had no weight at all up there and i was getting bounced around ........id take one for a test drive first......tink id go with a centre if i was after an open boat...

Do a search on this site there has been a thread about this in the past.

I have a side console and quite happy with the boat as a whole.

But it all depends on the boat and the application.
