I just recently purchased a couple of electric fishing reels...One of them has the eyes to hook up your harness to..but the other has not got one...can you buy a product which will go onto the rod to hook a harness up to...

Mick

get your self some heavy wire leader material (plastic coated) and wrap it around the front and underneath of your reel and crimp at the back then take either tag and crimp a loop on each one about 3-4 inches from the crimp that holds it around the reel, these you can attach to your harnes clips. Hope that made sense. It's used up this way for harnessing tld 15's for kids on the 8kg marlin gear.

So no one actually sells something that you can bolt or fix to your rod to solve this problem...

Don't pay out heard earned bucks mate. Do as Ian says. I have made something similar but the wire is crimped around the reel housing and not the reel itself. A metre of wire and a few crimps............cheap as chips and it does the job. You can simply snip it off when it shows signs of rust or you otherwise don't need it.
