4wd for Towing

You should pick up a reasonable series 60 landcruiser for around that. I picked up a diesel for a grand and towed a boat about that weight from Canberra to Airlie and back. A bit gutless (100kph tops against a head wind from Parkes to Miles) and heavey on fuel but hey, what do you want for 1K.
You can't kill them either.
