G'day

his is not a matter of if, but when, and an tell you, it's not that far away in the scheme of things.

It will be a 90' wavepiercer very similar to the "ultimate lady"

She will be called "Inspiraton 2", be baed somewhere like airlie beach, spend a few months of the year around the kimberlies and have a cruising range and capailities to roam the waters all the way though to the philipines and pacific islands.

The one I have now suits perfectly..maybe just go to the 33' model.
Anything bigger is too much for 2 people to handle and increased running costs.

Ive got the boat i allways wanted,it would have been nice to be able to afford a brand new one though. My old man has a riv from raby bay to tangalooma and back at 25 knots is 360 litres of diesel,he can only travel down the jumping pin at high tide,i cant see the point in that.

Ocean Cylinder cuddy, 5 to 6 metres, fully kitted.
Tough, safe, seaworthy, dive and fishing friendly, fairly cheap to run with an Etec or similar, but all up cost too xxxy for me, unfortunately!
Cheers!

I always like the old 25 berty...its one thing having the boat but you need to be able to afford to run it , so id stay to something like that or a plate alloy around 22foot....some of those yank imports are nice but

One of those big sailboat ocean racing twin hull type of design in the 80-100 foot range, grind the mast away fit a couple of o/bs make all ammenties up front with big flat deck space up back with tenders/dorys, park it on a section of reef in in the middle of nowhere and stay for a month at a time..... one can dream!

cheers fnq

hhhmmm, you could never really get the perfect boat, so I guess you would need about a 150 footer with a skipper to take you anywhere you wanted to go, then on deck a 45 foot game boat for "when you got there" and an 18foot centre console on the deck as well, and a tinny for the creeks and stuff, then an inflatable for going "on the beach" for a swim and BBQ with the topless crew from the "big boat" so you see it is never a perfect choice, you need lots of boats in the same place at the same time.

Something by Norman Wright or Frank Woodnutt etc etc would be nice for putting around Saumaurez.

Then there's the Oyster for SAGS/WAGS, Noumea

Prindle for the bouys.

And I always wondered how a conveted jetsprint boat would go for crabbing::)

I like the one I've already got, a 4.1m Polycraft punt. It suits me perfectly, river fishing with time spent in the mangroves, bumping into things, rides well for a punt, economical to run, rego, easy to tow and handle at the ramp or at home. I luv it.

Im still deciding and if you were to ask me next month it would be different.

But right now my wish list would be A 4.9m Webster Twinfisher Bassmaster for inside and a Markham Dominator 7000 for outside. Hmm it would be easier to count the things i wouldnt do for that package......... Stop imagining because id do all that too you dirty bastards
