I am thinking of buying a Sol 2500, does anyone have any thoughts or feedback on these reels, also does anyone know of any sites that sell them overseas. the cheapest i have seen them here is A$285

Mate, im in the same boat. Im after the Sol 3000 model. They are abit pricey, toss up between this and the Tierra model. Alot of people do recommend the Sol though, and say its a very smooth reel.

then go to anaconda and get em to beat it by 10%, thats about 243

im not 100% convinced the Sol is better than say the twinpower, both the Sol and the Teira have a bit of movement in the spool whereas the twinpower has nothing....

hey Lumox thats some sort of an effort on the longtail,
i have used the sol baitcaster to catch murray cod etc and it is a thing of beauty,
but geez the small spool capacity and lightness of it makes it unreal.

well done mate

I have a SOL 3000 which is an awesome reel.
Silky smooth drag and very smooth all round.
You will find more play in the handle on the tierras.

Cheers
Pete
