Hey Breamnut
I run a 54lb thrust bow mount on my 4.1m Polycraft using a 120amp battery. The 54lb is plenty powerful enough to control my boat even when the current is really ripping. Use it mainly to control my drift direction and speed when flicking Sp's around the estuaries and reefs and also occasionally get stuck into the bream around the pontoons and such. Had it on for about 4 months now and have not had a problem, does everything I need and its only half the price of a minn kota plus the foot control is very simple to master. I highly recommend them.
