I hate boat shows.>:(
Went for a look at the boat show the other week and couldn't help myself.:-/
Had a good look at all the tinnies and i think i got a good deal on this one.
5M Brooker Safari
40hp Yamaha 2/s motor.
Bimmi
and stuff.
Took it for a run last Saturday when we picked it up and very happy. Easier to use when we go eastuary fishing.
Got to get some time off work and good fishing weather now.
I will have to ask the boss (myself).

Hooley dooley....a bit different to the old tinny I must say :o
I like the "and stuff" bit. Lets the imagination go wild :D
A question if I may ask....What keeps the front of the canopy down??

Dazza,
The trucks been hooting so look out if you are infront of me.

No luck,
Nearly bought the 450 but what's money. Go hard.

Finga,
When we put three heavy weights in this one we wont have to worry about the free board.
There is a support bracket that goes under the bimmi at the top tp hold it open.
I don't think i would be travelling far nor at any speed with it on the trailer in the upright postion.
I have seen to many of them in my travels that have been blown to pieces because of laziness and not folding them down.

Thanks mate,

I was tossing up on the safari but decided with the more open model so I chuck or my gear around and won t be scared to hurt her.

I'm glad to hear it goes well with the 40 2 stroke. The 60 4 stroke should push me around quite well.

I'm also getting a bow mount motor bracket put on at the factory as well.

Brett

Sounds like a good thing for even a bit wider in the right conditions. Gunnel mount outriggers and some decent rod holders and your in business ::)

A lesser sentence would have seen you heading back to SEQ on parole by now :-X

Hey Gawby,

Waiting on the delivery of my boat 5m CC Discovery with a 60 Yammie 4St and was wondering what type of performance you were getting out of yours with a 40 on the back. Mine will most likely be a little heavier then yours being a Centre Console but I am just interested in the speeds you get out of it and fuel economy.

Cheers Nathan.

Nathan,

At the moment we don't have a gps fitted to it so speeds are just imaginary.:-/

When we picked it up we went for a drive in the broadwater and it went really well with 4 of use in it.:D

My son is halves in the boat with me and he uses it all the time and reckons it does the job well.:D

Carn't tell you about fuel consumption until i take it out for a run myself.:-/

I think you will be happy with it as there is plenty off room in them.:D
If the 60 4/s runs aswell as my 115 4/s on my Yalta you will be more than happy.:)

So after that b/s i carn't really answer your questions.:o
Graeme;)
