I think you'll find that unless it's really weird or in a foreign language, at least one other boat in QLD will have "your" name. Seem to remember from another thread that only commercial boats have a registered and unique name, so choose what you like and go for it. http://www.boatnames.com.au/ (http://www.10000boatnames.com/) even have a whole heap of suggestions.

dont worry about it crackerjack just get the name you like. There is so many boats in QLD you will probably never see a boat with the same name.

I saw a classic and clever name on a boat the other day when out on the water with Scalem. The boat was a large blue Polycraft named "Microwave Safe." I thought it was a great name. Lol

I have seen at least 3 other boats with the same name "Biteme"

Still a great name to me.

some names with the double entendres may seem funny but just think first...if calling a mayday in a state of mild panic then how stupid will you feel and also the rescue people having to use the name also.

Have a look at http://www.10000boatnames.com/ they seem to have the original list of boat names that have been copied/stolen by a number of sites around the world.

Chances are that if you come up with a great name someone else has already thought about it. Most likely though they will be no where near you so it doesn't matter. I have done quite a few of the same name for a number of people but they are usually in different states.
