Thats unreal. The new owner, (I think you sold the motor) probably got a bargain, but it was a bit of a gamble. Bet you're a bit peaved that a loose wire cost you so much. Things like that can be hard to trace, but it sounds like they didn't put a lot of effort into finding the problem. Guess they won't be seeing too many more of your hard earned dollars.

Kind of sucks that they can't be named too. I have dealt with them in the past, bought a motor and had it fitted along with a side console/forward controls. While I didn't really have problems with the job they did for me, they did promise me a bit of after sales service in regard to trying different props/motor heights, untill I had a setup I was happy with. As soon as I handed over my money they did not want to know me, needless to say have not, and won't be, going back to Ritchie St in Bundaberg. . . . Oops ;)

Sad, but also glad, to see that the problem was finally resolved.

Sorry that it wsn't while you owned it though.

Unfortunately, the very best of internet, phone etc diagnosis often cannot account for human error...

Anyway, onwards and upwards and a wiser boater...
