Does anyone have a half cabin boat with a removable windscreen that allows the boat to fit under the garage door for storage ? If so, have you got a system that allows quick removal/replacement of the windscreen ?
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Hi Ges

I see Barcrusher (plate alu) advertise something along the lines of what you are after, www.barcrusher.com.au (http://www.barcrusher.com.au) . Perhaps you could have a look at their system and adapt it?

How much does it need to come down by.

I take off me jockey wheel and drop the trailer draw bar on a dolly with 4 small castors on it.
It just clears the roller door, Takes a good 5 inchess off the height.

Hey GES,

I have my windscreen foldable just so that I can get it into my garage with a tilting door.

I had to modify the screen a bit by riveting a bit of 50X3 mm aluminium flat from the top of the windscreen frame, to the bottom of the frame. As well as strengthening the corners of the screen with L shaped brackets.

I have a screw-type catch in the middle of the screen that hooks into its partner mounted on the top of the cab. (see photos - easier than explanations)

I bought the ally flat at bunnings and the catch at Whitworths.

Only hassle is I have to unclip the bimini from the windscreen to fold the screen and bimini back.

I have a couple of other images that can be seen here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/sea-dog/images/ausfish/screen/
