exhaust water

Hi, replaced impeller/wear plate /gasket on my 115 2st suzuki today and noticed a spray of water coming from my exhaust outlet at the top of the leg.
Cant say i've seen this before, although old impeller was trashed - could this be just an extra amount of water due to new impeller?

Mate that's a good thing, you would probably notice it won't do it on muffs, but it will in a tank, or on the water.

As the leg fills up with water and the water pump is working all that water can't get pushed out the prop hub, so it vents out that out let to releive exhaust back pressure, and stop the motor filling with water.

Good thing it's normal, with a good pump.

Thanks Roughas, yeah, I have seen it on the water , but never on muffs mate - so thats some piece of mind for me !
