I have a ' as new ' hydrofoil to suit most outboards.
It has a name of SE Sport 200. It comes with all bolts.
This is now surplus to requirements.
There are pics attached of this item and the ruler beside the foil is 30cm.
These retail at certain stores for no less than $99.00.
Asking $65 and can deliver to most Brisbane suburbs. Currently located at Sherwood.
PM me for further info.
Cheers Phill

Hi Lucky_Phill.
Don't mean to be rude or change the subject, are we having any luck with those snapper sinkers. As our fishing club comp has started for another year, so need more lead as we have our good days and bad days drifting over the reefs.

I am selling it on behalf of another, less computer literate, Ausfish member. ::)
His boat is on the lesser end of the power to weight ratio, and he thought the Foil was slowing the rig down a tad.

Having a use for it or not never stopped me buying something. ;D
A use for it is only optional as you may have a use for it in the future. :D
If you ask the cook she'll just say more useless crap under the house. :-X

My question is what do they actually do that a stock motor doesn't. I mean we pay thousands of bucks for a new motor (my 115hp merc 4 stroke) and the guys say we better put a hydrofoil on it SE sport 400 I think.
Shouldn;t a new motor perform better left unmodified or are we talking about better take performance and cornering with these babies?
I guess i could always take mine off and see how it goes. The boat gets 43knots with it on.

This is my interpretation of the use of hydrofoils.
they are added to the leg of an outboard to provide lift and stability. The dynamics of where they are placed tends to create a surface area large enough to provide lift that is not available on a standard motor. You could in some remote way, equate it to placing a rear spoiler on a fast car, it provides something that the manufacturer has left off.
the hydrofoil also provides stability in the ' suction ' effect once on the plane. the water flowing over the surface area acts to ' hold ' the blunt end of the rig in the water during periods of rough water. basically stops the bouncing ( at the rear ) or the rear getting airbourne, that in turn provides a smoother ride. The hydrofoil can reduce the effect of ' porpoising " , but that is usually due to wrong motor trim.
OK, enough of the chit chat, who wants to buy it.
Price Drop. $55......... still delivered in Brissie metro area.
