Hey silent, doesn't the whytes island ramp have a security camera? I thought there was one that kept an eye on the traffic coming and going. Hope you get your gear back mate.

Slyman,

At the same day, I was thinking to call Port security about it.
But I feel they won't be interested to help me to nag the person who picks up my fishing rods...
I believe the reason to put security camera around port are for terrorism...

Well now you just tempt me thinking to call them to see what they will say!

So are you now rodless Silent? Might be a good time to buy new flash gear
Best of luck finding your rods

Just for update from Port of Brisbane.

They respond:

we have reviewed our available footage of the area but unfortunately were unable to obtain anything helpful to you.
I am sorry that we were unable to be of any assistance.

Great those security cameras aren't they. They probably got plenty of footage of you launching your boat that had 8million tonne of explosives and the F111 on board but none of light fingered Larry (appologies to all Larry's out there) who grabbed your gear.
Sorry to hear the news but a good chance to upgrade.
Cheers
Pete

Yeah you wouldn't expect security to do much, but even if you had descriptions of the vehicles and numbers then you coud see what the police could do. But i suspect their response would be much the same as port security...

Light fingered gits... :-X

Well the tinnie and tackle show is on very soon, im sure there'll be some good deals going.

Good Luck
