Mustang 18ft glass. about 25kph will stay on, so I suppose just a bit less than that.

very broad question there, it depends on so many factors to be of any real benefit, unless you are going to buy a boat and want (for some reason) the slowest planing boat available.

Little tiny tinny starts planing about 14km/hr and don't know drop off speed. Never really noticed.
The only reason I know this is when I have 3 people on board it has to make a huge effort to get on the plane. I've spent a bit of time fine tuning the engine height and trim and experimented with a few foil designs and shapes and sizes. Maybe I should just start ripping some of the 'extras' off the lighten the load a smidge. Or go to Jenny Craig.
Bigger boat never really taken note either. I just open the throttle and up it pops and then pull the throttle back and the boat drops off.
