hey all,
i'm after some advice on my outboard.
its an evinrude 70HP, the model no is E70TLESB.
any advice on what the letters stand for would be great,
also there is a control of somekind on the motor which has the 3 vac? lines
from the carbies going to it & a knob on the front you can turn.
the long & the short of it is the brother in law started to turn it round & round & couldn't remember where it was set. the boat hasn't been in the water since,
i'm a bit worried this "thing " won't let it run properly?

any suggestions anyone?

start from the beginning
E = Evinrude
70=70hp
T=trim/tilt +electric start
L=20" shaft length
ES= 90 model
B= model run or suffix
So therefore it's a 90 model 70hp electric start, power trim/tilt with a short shaft.

The rest :-/
Sorry

Round and round should do nothing if you pull it out it injects a dump of fuel into the carbs if you pull it to the first notch it is light choke second notch your boating it Tassie. Think I have the got the right bit.

The red Handle should point down the body of the electric choke for normal running if its at 90 degrees to this position its on full choke mode
