has anybody had anything to do with the southwind sf640 and the yamaha 225 4 strokes are they a good motor and boat for offshore fishing

been in slitely bigger 1 with 200Hp etec. went ok i guess.
we went on crap day and it was safe.

I had the SF655 with Yamaha 175 2 Stroke. Always felt safe in the boat and we went out in some pretty rough weather. I would highly recommend it and the 175 was certainly enough power. I think the 640 is in a heavier hull so it should be a bit better ride.

I saw the Southern Star moulds were for auction a month or so ago, so I assume that Southwind/Southern Star don't exist anymore. That may have some impact on values though.
