Gday,
Went up to mooloolaba this morning.Wasnt sure about the weather but turned out to be a beauty. We were trying for some pelagics on softies.First school seccond cast twitch,BANG onto a freight train. After just under 1/2 an hour i boated my best longtail 105cm.We chased some more schools around with the softies and boated a few mack tuna. Then i decided to bung a popper on and cast around the schools.A few casts later itwas belted by a fish that leapt 11/2m clear of the water as it did so,turned out to be a nice little yellowfin that had completely engulfed it.Top day allround.

I was using a 6-10 kg spin live fibre texalium, daiwa emcast4500 and 20 pound braid. The other two were using the original 6-10 live fibres and tss4's with 20 lb mono.

Yep tasty gear.
The plastics were 6in atomic jerk minnows, Blue escape. But i think just about any softie one would have worked even though they were feeding on 1in froggies.
