G-day Plugger, We fished it late Jan and found fish holding off most points and along the deeper drop offs. Spinner baits, hard body and soft plastics all worked with the softies catching the most. The toga seemed to take more of a liking to hard body lures up the back of the dam. I done a post back then so you might be able to find it for a couple of pics.

yeah there last week. soft plastics and surface early morning and late afternoon early night. fish ranging up to 49cm to the fork. crap loads of togas, night fishing on surface with unweighted plastics smashed them. awsome 4 days.

fish the drop offs with soft plastics. nothing around the rock structure work more of the timber and shallow shallow areas (especially for togas) togas chewed really well on the clam with minimal movement of the lure (softies or surface). bugger all caught with the wind chop.

will post some pics of the fish, but have 2 hours of edited toga and bass there from the 4 days. 90 bass and 37 toga

you will enjoy

cheers

Could you get past the tight righthander at the end of Bass Strait?

to m62, yes you can still get past the tight right hander, the water is still about 10 feet deep in the middle of the creek up there at present, just watch it when you go a bit further up as there was a small island in the middle of the creek and I tried to go past it on the right side as the water was still 10 feet, suddenly it came up to 1foot and we lost a fair bit of propeller. So I wouldn't try to go past there. cheers scott.
