Does anyone have a web addy for pacific composite rods?
I found what appears to be the parent company http://www.pacomp.com.au
but there's no mention of rods.

Are they manufactured in Oz?

Has anyone used one of the bastek models?
Just thinking with state of origin drawing ever nearer it might be a good one for the RBW ;D ;D :P

Roz,
Can this pic be done in one of those cross wrap thingy's ?

Seriously, I would like to know more about these blanks. Especially if they are aussie manufactured.
Also be interested in hearing about any of their (or other) cheaper models for workhorse rods that won't break the bank.

Hi

They're great blanks, I have a Gary Howard surfclassic, built on a PPG surf, ( forgot the dimensions but 162") tis marvellous. I know some other people with pacific composites blanks, they like them aswell.
I think they're made in Brisbane, and I was told that they now make Butterworth blanks, but this could be a fallacy.

Owen that logo can be done as a weave, but it is an advanced weave at least 4 layers of design thread, then the pattern will take some time draw up or write up.
Also you could not comercially use it as it is trade marked.

Yeah, I knew it'd be a weave Myles. And that it's a trademark.
Was just burleying ;)

I do like the look of the blanks though. The blue just reminded me of the state of origin.
