Wonder why BOM report differently for NSW v/s Qld. See below the Sydney forecast shows both the sea height and swell height.

But further down the Southeast Qld only gives sea height. And I presume they mean sea and not swell. Both coming from BOM - you think they would have some uniformity.

And yes - I use Seabreeze to check swell. Makes this weekend off Mooloolaba look ordinary if its 1.7 sea on a 2 metre swell.


Sydney Coastal Waters,Broken Bay to Port Hacking and 60nm seawards:
Friday until midnight: Wind: N/NE 10/15 knots, freshening to 15/20 knots at times.Sea: 1 to 2 metres.Swell: E/NE about 1 metre. Chance afternoon thunderstorm.
Saturday: Wind: N/NE 10/15 knots, freshening to 15/20 knots at times. Sea: 1 to 2 metres. Swell: E about 1 metre.

Southeast Coast Waters, Double Island Point to Coolangatta:
Friday until midnight: SE/E winds 15/20 knots gradually decreasing to 10/15 knots in the south. Seas 1.2 to 1.7 metres. Scattered showers.
Saturday: SE/E winds 15/20 knots easing to 10/15 knots south of Cape Moreton and then turning NE later. Seas 1.2 to 1.7 metres. Scattered showers.
