i looked at a blue fin centre consol not long ago, but decided on a formosa, they were both around the same price but i found the overall finish a bit better on the formosa.

Hi monkey
I have a 4.75m C/C Blue Fin with 60 4st merc 2yo and I am very happy with it.
For its lenght it has high sides, that is that my knees are below the gunnels and it doesn't rub the skin off them:) a must for me.
Yes it is a wet boat but was expected when running home with wind on the 1/4
Yes it does get air and slam down like a tinny but that was expected but I am very happy with the ride.
overall it is a great boat for me and suits my application. All my work is beach launch and up to 20km out to sea around the Solitary Isands.
I was very interested in the Formosa to, but back when I bought my boat the Formosa was a different boat and the mods that I wanted sent the price way up.
I would like to have a look at another Formosa now
Is the Blue Fin still a plate side boat only? ie not a true plate boat.
Cheers Murf

Hi Dan - only choice here is Mitchels - Honda or E-tec, will have to go to airle for Yamaha package - hanging out for second hand one $26 with everything I want - only budgeted for $20
Yer i got mine there at Mitchel's,nothing stopping you getting the boat there and outboard at bill's thats what i did.Nothing wrong with the honda i just wanted an efi engine so i went the 60 yammie.Mine cost just over 20k for BMT and i'm happy with the set up they are a solid boat.Dan.........
