poly's heh, that usually brings out a few opinions, one of the Sthn fishing websites had a long running thread on them, gee can those guys argue!

:D :D Gelsec, Its a summer sport in sydney and melbourne. Played on days when the criket is rained out and the wind is blowing 40knots.;)

Hi Mark, go and have a look and make your own mind up. I personally would not take any advice as you either love them or hate them. Hmm ... when did Weelie Bins replace those rusty old Aluminium trash cans any way....

Mark,

I have had a 4.1 Challenger side console for about 1 month now and extremely happy ;D nice soft ride, great fishing platform, low maintenance (no corrosion) and indestructible (almost). What more could you ask for........

I expect to get delivery on a 4.1 w/ 50HP 4ST. in two weeks. Read the Polyboatowners esp. the thread about hitting rocks at speed etc. and look at your dealers show room.

Suit's my needs, but may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Cheers

Unfortunatly Here in Sarina there is no dealers to go and have a look. Mackay has a few dealers of glass and aluminum boats. So any advise/comments from members are helpful. whether positive or negative I will go and have a look myself when I do decide to buy.

Mark, seems like you are a bit stuck to actually see one in the flesh, unless you see a second hand one for sale ... or maybe someone up your way has one you can look at. Failing that I guess you are on a 185k road trip to Cannonvale. I've not seen a 6m Poly, only my little 4.1 and it's the ducks crutch!!!!! Good luck ...

Hey fishmarket, did you have a close up look at a dycks crutch to compare it to a polycraft? and just how good is a ducks crutch?

Hi, I've had my Poly 4.55 CC for 4 years now, fished up and down the Queensland Coast. It's done over 15000k's on the trailer and looks and goes as good as new.
The ride has impressed more than I tinny and fibreglass owner as well. Fish aren't as shy of it as they are of a great piece of metal in the water, but maybe I've become a better fisherman since selling the tinny.

I have been in the 6m one for a 5 minute joy ride it did a very good job IMO, I got fairly wet though, was rough and windy. If they had let me drive it, I might own one by now, was a soft ride but I had nothing to compare it with on the day.
