Took adam for a run off moreton yesterday .we crossed the bar about 1 hr before day breakwith moon up and great conditions .it wasnt long before we had a few fish then thing went quiet. we drifted with the shute out because we had a3.5klm current. we tried many spots even went out to deep tempest and anchored and tried my new 1kg sinkers out,we may as well had a cork on because they still floated. On the way out we ran across tuna and billies breaking the water chasing huge schools of flying fish just caught 8snapper 1 pearlie 2tuna

Don't feel bad Pete, we went out yesterday too fishing shallow tempest and the coffee rocks. Result two schoolies, a squire and two tuna for 135 km travelled. Current was bad in close as well but at least the weather was fantastic.

Thanks for the great day Pete.... A pity about the fish - I feel a bit like a jonah - seems like whenever I show up - so does the current. Seeing those Billies and Tuna smashing those schools of flying fish was pretty spectacular. Getting one on the skirt was pretty cool too!!!
It was a great day all up - nice weather - a few fish, great company and your boat really handles that bay chop... not so keen on mine any more;) ;D
Thanks again!!
