Left the ramp at 3.30am and had a good trip out sitting on 4000 revs the whole way. First drop had Mitchell hooked up to a smallish fish only to get to about 20m below the boat and get smashed by the black king in the photo. Glenn and I both dropped and almost instantly hooked up with 2 more. Next drop saw a couple of snapper get boated then all quiet. We started the burley trail and this bagged another couple of snaps but this 2 slowed down so a move was in order. Tried to anchor on another patch that usually produces but for some reason the pick wouldn’t stick. After 5 attempts we finally got a hold but the wind started to get a hell of a lot stronger so the decision was made to bail. All up we got 6 snapper, 3 kingies, 1 parrot, 2 stripped tuna, 1 mosses, 2 eels and 2 gummy sharks.
