Schoolie Wednesday

Started a bit later, launching at Mooloolaba about 5:30am. Deckie/Chief Helmsman tried to add some excitement at the ramp by leaving the bungs out, however woke to his tricks and screwed them in before launching. Calm as on the water but there wasn,t a fish to be seen, hooked, gaffed or netted. >:( Tried opening the cokes and sangers (usually brings them on when your hands are full) still nothing. Then brought out the secret weapon... one more troll and then we'll head home... always works. Half way through the run the TLD 20 sets off a squawk and we land a nice schoolie ... landed a total of three and called it quits - a real slow day...
Best fish went 2.3 and the smallest 1.2kgs... ;D

i thought that was a belated report about young girls in bikinis binge drinking. doh.
3 better than none - I saw a heap of birds working the bay area about 12pm just outside the shark nets just south of Alex headland - they always seem to be working this area from about 10am onwards...

Sorry about the confusion, wrong schoolies.8-) Although, sometimes the actions of the Deckie/Chief Helmsman indicate he might be dreaming of the bikini version ::)
