Evinrude 150 Ficht??

Hi all
Looking at a boat with a 150 ficht 1999 model. @300hrs
Anyone have good or bad comment about them. I have heard of one 97 or 98 model blowing a powerhead. Also read somewhere there was a recall of the early ficht motors.
Wouldn't like to buy a boat and have the motor blow up, I know it is a risk with any second hand motor but I am enquiring about the ficht in particular.

I believe their developement costs and early problems were the death of OMC.
Any comment appreciated.

I would suggest going to iboats or The Hull Truth - both US boating sites. Your answer will be there.:-X A second check would be to ring a local Johnno dealer & ask what they will give as a trade in on a new donk. Make sure you are seated though.:o :o :o :o :o :o :o
