Pine Jan16 - "Top 3 most Unwanted"

Murrumba Downs Area After Dark.... After being bitten off by a couple of steam trains on Monday night (on 35lb trace and triple ganged hooks - Pilchards) I thought I'de go back last night with a bit of steel to try and catch the ones that got away. Unfortunatley, I ended up with what I believe are the most Unwanted catches you can get around here (Catfish-Eel-Stingray), shame I wasn't in Asia last night, I'de probably make myself a weeks pay out of this little haul. As unlucky as I was, the suspense of what was on the end of my line each time made it all half worth while & an enjoyable trip.. Next time!

at least you caught a few. I reckon the most unwanted is pike eels!

My son has a mate who operates one of the beam trawlers in the Pine and he was saying there are an unusually large nunber of sharks in the river. Maybe it could have been a shark????

some nice vermin there mate.
caught one of those eels last night and they are evil. tried to take a few fingers off. however an asian family who were fishing near us didnt mind it and were happy to take it off my hands
